Delbert P. Grimm Obituary

Delbert “Del” Grimm, 84, of Wyocena, Wisconsin died peacefully at his home on Monday, September 2, 2025.

He was born the son of Clarence and Anna Grimm of Highland, Wisconsin. Del graduated from Highland High School in 1958 and served in the US Army, stationed in Germany, from 1961 to 1964.

He married Audrey Pionek in 1969; they moved to Wyocena in 1971 where they spent the next 50 years together raising a wonderful family.

He spent his career in the airline industry as an employee of North Central, Republic and Northwest Airlines. After retirement he and Audrey enjoyed traveling the world, camping, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Del was a quiet observer of life, careful with his words but generous with his heart. He was a devoted father and Papa who will be greatly missed.

Del is survived by his children; Michelle (David) Trowbridge and Michael (Matt Summer), his grandchildren Lauren and Colin; two sisters-in-law Katy Grimm and MaryAnn Grimm; special nieces and nephews, and dear friends who were like family.

Del was preceded in death by his wife Audrey, his parents, and seven siblings: Kay, Bob, Tom, Fritz, Winifred, Cliff, and Bill.

A celebration of Del’s life will be held on Saturday, September 13th at St Faustina Church in Pardeeville, WI. Visitation will be from 9am-11am with a mass and luncheon to follow.

A special thank you to the staff at the Madison VA Hematology and Cardiology Clinics and St. Croix Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local Meals on Wheels program.
