Deanna Heller Obituary

Deanna “Dena” J. Heller, 66, of Rio, passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was born August 15, 1956, in Madison, the daughter of George Heller, Sr. and June Heller.

Dena spent her young adult years in California before moving back to the Madison area. She was employed by DRG/Rexam for many years. Being a mom and grandma brought her so much joy. She spent much of her time with her grandchildren and siblings as family was so important to her. Dena always tried to live a positive, care-free life regardless of the circumstances she faced. You’d often hear her singing “Don’t worry, be happy” and dancing to any music playing even if it was in the grocery store aisle.

Dena is survived by her siblings, George (Kathy) Heller, Trisha (Johnny) Allen, Caryl Heller, Geneva (Rick) Heller, Lori Melton, Cheryl (Doug) Landphier, Alan Heller, and Jay (Dorothy) Heller, her grandchildren, Nicholas Jr., Tianna and Jayce Cisneros, and many nieces and nephews. Dena is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jacob Holland, nephew AJ Heller, and brother Jon Heller.
