Dean R. Hawley

Dean Russell Hawley, age 89, of Pardeeville, WI gained his angel wings on Saturday, June 6, 2020.  He was a wonderful family man and will be greatly missed by his large family and group of friends.

Dean was born in Dekorra Township, WI on March 26, 1931 to Russell and Mary (Hutchinson) Hawley.  On February 11, 1950, he married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Ann Robbins, in Pardeeville, WI.  Dean was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pardeeville for most of his life.  After 43 years of service, Dean retired from his Cost Estimator position at Everbrite in Pardeeville.  In addition to his full-time job, Dean also maintained a 100 acre farm with his family for 15 years.

Dean loved camping and took great pride in the various RV’s that he and Shirley owned.  They belonged to the WI Campers, Winnebago, and Good Sam camping clubs.  Beyond camping at many campgrounds in WI, they took many trips around the U.S. and Canada.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Shirley Ann; children: Greg (Betty), Robert, Cheryl (Mike) Stowell, Lynn (Herb) Berra, Sue Buchan (Gordy Shaw), and Jennifer (Todd) Willger; grandchildren Melissa Hiltunen, Denise, Heather (Travis Kluge), Russell (Chris) Stowell, Michele Gibbs, Jacob (Stacy) Stowell, and Kaitlyn Partridge; three great-grandchildren; siblings Howard (Sue), Joyce (Donnie) Mienhardt, Janet (Peter) Gutowski, and brother-in-law Max Lytle.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara, sister Doris Lytle, and brother Duane (Bud).

A memorial service will be planned at a later time.
