Cary John Lalor, 82 of Montello, passed away early Monday morning January 22, 2024 at the University Hospital in Madison after spending the day surrounded by his family and friends. Cary was born September 23, 1941 in Sparta, the son of Dowell and Leona (Neumoff) Lalor. 

He married the love of his life Barb on August 22, 1975. Cary had worked as a salesman at Shamrock Motors, Montello, Freitags Auto Sales-Montello, Cary’s Auto Sales, Portage & Trecek Automotive-Portage. He then became a self-employed developer of properties and the owner of The Remington CBRF of Pardeeville. He enjoyed traveling with Barb, visiting Ireland multiple times, and spending time with all of his family. Cary also raced super late model race cars for many years.

He is survived by his brothers, David (Kelly) Lalor of Montello, John (Donna) Lalor of Westfield, and Dan (Judy) Lalor of Montello; his step daughter Sandy (Kevin) Solterman of Montello; step grandchildren, Kristen Beckes, Stevie Brimmer, and Ashley Farr; step great grandchildren Maci and Ava Griffey; his sister-in-law Jane Kabele; many nieces and nephews; his special Irish friend Declan Mullens and his army buddies Norbert, Joe, and the gang from Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Barb; his parents Dowell and Leona; brother Joe (Annette) Lalor; sister Sharon (Bryant) Pentecost; nephew Ronnie Pentecost; parents-in-law, Walt (Arlene) Klocko; step son Steve Genrich; and brothers-in-law Tom Klocko and Gordy Kabele.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 29 from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, January 30 at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Montello. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until time of service at the church Tuesday.
