Brian N. Guenther Obituary

Brian N. Guenther, a dedicated dairy farmer and a man of many talents, passed away peacefully beside a beer on Friday January 24, 2025; leaving behind a legacy of hard work, humor, and love.

A proud Marine in his younger years, Brian carried the discipline and dedication from his service into his farming life where he continued running the family farm with his brother Charles. He had a special bond with his cows, treating them with the utmost care and affection. His love for his herd was evident in the way he meticulously tended to them, ensuring they were always healthy and happy.

Born with a knack for fixing things that his children, brother, and employees continually broke- he could always find a way to make anything work. Brian spent countless hours tinkering around the farm and home, always working on a project but not always finishing them.

Brian had a passion for hunting, always looking forward to deer season when friends and family would gather. He loved taking trips out West to go elk hunting, even when there were elk in the backyard. He had a fascination with all kinds of guns, the more rare the better. His dry sense of humor and playful one-liners kept everyone around him smiling and on their toes.

In recent years, Brian fought and beat two separate battles with cancer with the same determination he showed in every aspect of his life. He was always ready to help others, never asking for much in return. His dedication to the farm and his family was unwavering, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Doris Thiele of nearly 30 years and was a loving father to his two children Mackenzie and Maverick Guenther; two step-sons Michael and Mitchel Thiele, whom he raised as his own. His patience and guidance were unmatched, always allowing his kids to learn from their mistakes while being there to help pick up the pieces.

Upon retirement, Brian discovered new joys in cooking, gardening, and babysitting his beloved grandchildren. He never truly retired, always finding odd jobs to stay busy and lend a helping hand.

Rest in peace, Brian. Your hard work, humor, and love will be dearly missed.
