Bonita “Bonnie” M. Haag, 65, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully Monday, July 24, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. Bonnie was born to Willard and Henrietta (Juris) Marten June 11, 1958, in Madison and graduated from WI Height High school in 1976. On October 1, 1977, she was united in marriage to Harold Haag for 44 years.
While she worked 30+ years for the state of WI and Sauk county combined, she also enjoyed playing organ for various churches in the area, watching WI sport teams, and enjoyed working outdoors on the farm. Bonnie loved playing cards and watching her kids and grandkids grow up and participate in their activities. Harold and Bonnie raised three wonderful kids, Shaun (Megan), Summer and Huston; Jamie (Courtney Schwartzer), Elizabeth Haag, Jamison Haag, Logan Schwartzer, and Lexie Schwartzer; and Amanda (Eric) Frailing.
She is survived by her children, siblings, Carol Kirk and Elaine (Gary) Meister, in-laws Roger Clason and Sharon Marten. She is further survived by step-mother-in-law, Betty Adler; other in-laws: Robert (Rhonda) Haag, Duane (Joyce) Haag, Marie (Roger) Kahl, and Bill (Pam) Haag; sister-in-law Karen (Dave) Dunn along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; parents Willard and Heneritta Marten; sister Bev Clason; brother LaVerne Marten; other in-laws: mother-in-law Carol (Burkland) Haag; father-in-law Robert Haag; brothers-in-law Roger and Andrew Haag and sister-in-law Elka Haag along with many relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 1 at 11 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville with Rev. Julie Krahn officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville. Visitation will be held Monday, July 31 from 4 to 7 PM at Grasse Funeral Home in Reedsburg and again from 10 AM until the time of service at the church Tuesday.
