Betty Kay Oehlert, age 77, of Rio, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 15, 2024. She was born August 1, 1946 to Walter and Bertha Oehlert.

Betty enjoyed playing cards and putting puzzles together. She was the President of St. John’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid of Doylestown. Betty was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Doylestown and also Zion Lutheran Church in Columbus. She retired from Covance in 2010.

She is survived by her son Adam Oehlert of Rio; grandson Hunter (Raven) Oehlert of Adams; sisters Genevieve (Leonhard) Diels of Columbus, Beverly MacDonald of Utah, Barbara Udell of Fall River; and many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Bertha Oehlert; brothers Arnold Oehlert, Duewaine Oehlert, and Eugene Oehlert; and sister Phyllis Witthun.

Service will be held Friday, May 31 at 11:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Columbus with Pastor Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at Church Friday. There will be a luncheon to follow the service.
