Alan C. Simonson Obituary

Alan Clair Simonson, age 83, of Pardeeville, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026. 

Alan was united in marriage to Judith D. (Jerome) on May 11, 1963, at St. Mary’s Church in Portage. A marriage that celebrated 57 years together. Alan worked at the Gambles Retail store in Portage from 1961 to 1968. Alan and Judy purchased the Gamble store in Columbus, in 1968. Running a sucessful business for 10 years. They sold the business in 1978. The family relocated to Portage and opened an insurance business, Simonson Insurance Agency from 1984 to 2017. 

Alan enjoyed traveling and cruising. Him and Judy traveled to many foreign countries & nationally. He also enjoyed motorcycling, cards at casinos, and going to professional sporting events, such as Nascar, football and baseball. A lot of this was done in their RV motor home.  

He is survived by his children Steven, Kristine, Robert (Peggy), and Kimberly (Daniel) fiancé; brothers Dale, and Dean (Jean); sister Diane (Delmar) Loveland; 8 grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren: and loving companion, Karen De Marco. Alan was preceded  in death by his beloved wife, Judith (Jerome); his parents Gordon & Eva Mae (Buzzell) Simonson & great grand daughter Morgan A. Pounders. 

Per Alan’s wishes, no public memorial service will be held. Memorials & cards may be sent to Robert Simonson, N2628 Fur Dr. Oxford, WI 53952.
