Ruth L. Becker

Ruth Lavina Becker, 88 of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 19, at the Agrace Hospice Care Center in Madison.

She was born on September 29, 1928 to John and Anne Gray.  She met the love of her life, Carl Becker, and they were united in marriage on Nov. 27, 1948 at the North Scott Baptist Church and became a lifelong member.  They celebrated 64 years of happily married life together. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed being with her family and was proud of all they accomplished.  Her love of family never wavered. 

Ruth spent most her life assisting her husband on the farm, raising her family.  She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and playing cards.  When they retired from milking cows, she spent 19 years with Carl wintering in Florida where they both made many lasting and loving friendships. 

Honored to have known and loved her, she will be greatly missed by her daughters Karla (significant other Chuck Tome) and Gale (Clint) Mote; two grandchildren Tony (Nicole) Walker and Philip Walker; two step grandchildren Paul (Diane) Walker and Trevor (Inna) Walker; one great grandchild Ashlynn and four step grandchildren Brooke, Marshall, Alisa and Mila; two sisters Dorothy Ballweg and Joyce Kessenich; two brothers John (Inez) Gray and Bill Gray; one sister-in-law Margaret Becker; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Avold, Ralph, Kenneth and Roger Gray; sisters Bertha Rundle, Evelyn Tanner and Jeanette Gray. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24 at 11 AM at North Scott Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Brant officiating.  Burial will follow at the Marcellon Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9 AM until time of service at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at SSM Heath Medical Group and Michael Brouette PA-C, St Mary’s Hospital as well as the staff at Agrace Hospice for all the personal attention, love and care given to Ruth and her family.
