Richard "Dick" R. Gibney

Richard “Dick” Gibney age 84 of Pardeeville, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg.  He was born September 29, 1933 in Elroy, the son of Clifford and Clara (Rakow) Gibney.  Dick married Sharon Baillies on November 23, 1974. 

Dick was a member of the Steamfitters local 394/601 from 1953 until the time of his death.  He served his country in the United States Navy for six years, two years active and four years inactive during peacetime.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. 

He is survived by his wife Sharon; his daughter, Lora; sons, Guy (Jennifer), Dan (Lisbeth); wonderful grandchildren; sister-in-law Jo Ellen Spear and nephew Dennis Spear.  He is further survived by many family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers Ron, Norm and Jerry.

A celebration of Dick’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at GRASSE FUNERAL HOME, 119 Industrial Drive, Pardeeville. Private family burial will be in Pardeeville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:30 a.m until the time of the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted immediately following the service.
