Michael S. Jones

Michael Steven Jones, 62 of Portage, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home.

He was born October 5, 1956 to Howard, Jr. and Marlyn (Krugman) Jones. He attended Columbus High School. He was united in marriage to Jenny Sue Berndt in 1977 and they were blessed with four children. Mike was employed by Dairy Equipment in Madison for many years then working in carpentry. He enjoyed repairing things, spending time outdoors and hunting. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Mike had a heart for helping family and friends.

Mike is survived by his children Renee, Linsey, Cathy, and Michael Jones; two grandchildren Jada and Joseph Jones; siblings David (Linda) Jones, Daniel (Jeanne) Jones, Rick (Kayleen) Jones, Debra (Mark) Dannehl, Cherie (Timothy) Kath, and Thomas Jones; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 22 from 10 to 1 PM at Grasse Funeral Home, 401 Angel Way, Rio. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the family.
