Michael Bankers of Poynette, Wisconsin passed away on December 25, 2018.
He was born on March 25, 1980 to Susan (Scudiero) Purves and Brian Bankers. Michael grew up on Mill Street in Poynette with his mom and his step father, Kevin Purves, and siblings Juanita, Kevin, and Kayla. He was all boy and loved winters where he spent time ice fishing, skating, and sledding down the big hill at the family home. Michael also looked forward to spending time with his father in Pardeeville, Wisconsin and enjoyed swimming at Park Lake and canoeing on Lower Lake. Michael always seemed to find his peace while listening to music, which had a way of calming him.
Michael developed an addiction that he battled for all his adult life. This made for a rough life for him and for those who loved him. He was a lost soul in a hard world. But Michael had some very good friends who stuck by his side through it all. Lisa, you, Marcus and Jeremy showed Michael the meaning of true friendship. He was grateful to have you and we will never forget the kindness you have shown.
Michael is survived by his mother, his sister Juanita (Casey) Tomlinson and his brother, Kevin Purves Jr. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, Leah, Jesse, Wyatt, Josie, Maurice and Makaylah, his loving grandmother, Florence Bankers, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Brian Bankers, his step father, Kevin Purves, his sister, Kayla Purves, both his maternal grandparents his paternal grandfather and both his step grandparents.
