Lois Fenske, 74 of Portage, formerly of San Francisco, CA, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 16, 2018 at U.W. Hospital from complications of Polio.
She was born May 1, 1944 in Portage to Edgar and Lucille (Moll) Fenske. She graduated from Portage High School in 1964. She was employed at Saint Michaels in Milwaukee and in 1970, she moved to San Francisco, she then took a position with Kemper Insurance then for Koret Clothing. Even though she lived with many restrictions, she continued to work and live life to the fullest. Lois loved to explore the city she loved and watching TV. She also enjoyed vacationing with family, and her annual visits back to Wisconsin. Her family and friends were of the most importance to her.
Survivors include her siblings Edgar (Rita) Fenske, Nathan W. Fenske, Laura (Steve) Voss, seven nieces and one nephew and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 20 at 1 PM at Grasse Funeral Home, 119 Industrial Drive, Pardeeville with Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pardeeville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Tivoli and University of Hospital for the special care of Lois.
