Larry B. Wegner, 66 of Pardeeville left this earth on April 29, 2019 after a four-month struggle with Cancer, with his wife by his side, as well as Penzey and Zoe, his loyal dogs. He was born on April 23, 1953 to Byron & Bernice (Heller) Wegner.
Larry was baptized, confirmed, and graduated from St. John's Lutheran in Montello, and in 1971, graduated from Montello High School.
Larry was a machinist at Montello Products for many years followed by sales associate at Portage Do It Center and Dietary Aid at Montello Care Center, but his favorite job came after retirement doing golf course maintenance at Saddle Ridge Golf Course.
Larry married Barbara J. Lischefski, whom he passed a note to in freshman Geography class asking her to a movie. They were blessed with over 44 years of marriage, residing in Buffalo Township. God granted them two wonderful daughters: Melissa J. Wegner and Becky J. Wegner. After nine years of marriage, Larry converted to Catholicism and was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Buffalo.
Larry loved the outdoors. There wasn't a season Larry didn't like. He was an avid golfer, hunter, ice fisherman, gardener and woodworker.
Larry is survived by his wife Barb; daughters Melissa of Pardeeville and Becky of Portage; mother Bernice M. Wegner and brother Robert (Bernice) Wegner, all of Montello; brother-in-law Troy Lischefski of Madison, who fondly called Larry his Best Buddy; Tim Larson, who was the son Larry never had; godchildren Stacy Wegner Haase of Fond du Lac and Megan Lischefski of Portage. Larry is further survived by many special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Larry will be reunited with his father Byron G. Wegner, infant brother David; grandparents Gustave & Mata Heller, and George and Ella Wegner; and in-laws Eva and Jerome Lischefski
