Kathaleen A. Terpstra

Kathaleen A. Terpstra, age 70 of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully Friday, July 27, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 2, 1948 to Earl Jr. and Eva (Brickwell) Thiessen. She graduated from Rio High School, the class of 1966. She was employed for the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles for 13 years until she was united in marriage to Samuel Terpstra, April 13, 1979. They were blessed with two sons and raised them in the Pardeeville area where Kate and Sam have resided most of their lives.

Kate had many talents, she was a self-taught skilled seamstress, knitting, crocheting, and many other crafts. She enjoyed baking, watching her grandchildren and her great nieces and nephew. She also had a love for traveling and camping.

Survivors include her husband Sam; two sons Bryan David (Michele Baker), Peter Earl (Michelle); four grandchildren Christopher (Valerie), Ashleigh, Andrew, and Kiana; four great-grandchildren Chloe, Lydia, Paityn, and Elliott; two sisters Sandra (Gerald) Swenson and Diane Holloway; sister-in-law Elaine Anderson, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Brenda, brother-in-law George Holloway, father and mother-in-law Peter and Effie Terpstra, and brother-in-law Lynn Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1 at 6 PM at Grasse Funeral Home, 401 Angel Way, Rio. Visitation will be held from 3 PM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice Care.  The family would like to extend a grateful thank you to Agrace Hospice, Columbia Health Care Center and the ADRC for their care of Kathaleen.
