Karen L. Upham

Karen Lee Upham (nee‐Schallmo)  63, of Poynette, passed away on November 27th 2019 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. 

Karen was born August 28th 1956 in Chicago, IL  She attended Reavis High School in Burbank, IL and did undergraduate work at DePaul University in Chicago. She moved to the Pardeeville, WI area in 1999 and in 2000 married her devoted husband John R. Upham of Poynette.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents George and Sonia Schallmo and survived by her adoring husband John R. Upham; her two loving sons from her first marriage to Joseph F. Cueto; Jason C. Cueto 39, and Jeffrey S. Cueto, 36 both of Wisconsin Rapids & her adoring granddaughters Sonia G. Cueto of Fosston MN and Mireya A. Cueto of Wisconsin Rapids, WI as well as her three brothers.

Karen had a passion and talent for the culinary arts, and loved trying new recipes with her family. She also greatly enjoyed antiquing and going to yard sales. The biggest loves in her life was far and away her husband John, sons Jason & Jeffrey and her granddaughters Sonia & Mireya whom she constantly doted on.

Karen was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. She kept an upbeat, positive outlook throughout her illness and always had a kind word for those around her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contact family for further details.
