June A. Eagan

June A. Eagan, age 87, of Pardeeville, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

June was born June 21, 1931 to Fred and Gertrude (Miller) Helmer. On June 30, 1951, she was united in marriage to Leroy Eagan in Dubuque, Iowa. They met each other at the roller-skating rink in Pardeeville. They celebrated 54 years together until Leroy’s passing in 2006.

June alongside of her husband were very active. The enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Also traveling, collecting antiques and antique cars.

Survivors include sisters Ruth Utke, Shirley Puttkammer, Cecile Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Florence Rodberg and Lois Rasmussen; brother Vernon Helmer; two nieces and many in-laws.

A celebration of June’s life will be held Saturday, April. 27, at 1:30 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage with Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until time of service at the church. Following the service, a lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall by the Ladies Aide. Inurnment will follow at Marcellon Cemetery. Memorials in June’s memory may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage.
