Joseph M. Farrington, 66 of Pardeeville, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Select Medical in Madison surrounded by his family after a short illness.
He was born January 22, 1952 in Portage to Delbert and Laura (Pahl) Farrington. He graduated from Cambria High School in 1970. He was united in marriage to Dixie Stollfus June 15, 1974 and were blessed with two children. Joe was a farmer at heart, he loved the land, hunting, and the outdoors. He enjoyed making sausage and jerky. He lived a simple life where family was dear to him.
Survivors include his two children, Christopher (Nicole) Farrington, Holly (Joseph) Potratz; favorite granddaughter Natalie Farrington; three brothers, Jim (Joan) Farrington, Jerry (Judy) Farrington, and Jay (Sherrie) Farrington; one sister, Jeanne Anderson; one sister-in-law, Donna Farrington; special friend Donna Bartelt; lifelong friend Ron Weinberger and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dixie, and brother Walter Farrington.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 11 at 11 AM at Rosedale Presbyterian Church in Cambria with Rev. Merle Bartels officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held Monday, December 10 from 4 to 7 PM at Grasse Funeral Home, 119 Industrial Drive, Pardeeville. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of services Tuesday at the church.
