Joanne E. Barton, 81 of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg.
She was born November 22, 1937 in Pardeeville, the daughter of Bernard and Margaret (Dowdell) Ryan.
She graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Daniel J. Barton February 7, 1959 in Portage. Joanne enjoyed fishing and camping with her grandchildren and watching them compete in sports. She also enjoyed cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and the Wisconsin Badgers.
She is survived by her husband Daniel of 60 years, two daughters Laurie (Paul) Hartman of Portage and Julie Barton (Rodd Theiler) of Madison; four grandchildren John Paul (Ashly) Hartman, Benjamin (Nicole) Hartman, Jaimie (Sarah) Sutfin, and Brian (Theresa) Sutfin; four great -grandchildren Adaline, Carter, Jackson, and Frankie James; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Brian; two sisters Alice Simon and Bernadine James and three brothers Earl Ryan, Floyd Ryan and Richard “Dick” Ryan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 2 at 12 Noon at St. Mary – St. Faustina Catholic Church in Pardeeville with Father Mark Miller presiding. Private Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Lewiston Township. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at the church Saturday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Agrace Hospice and the visiting Care Angels for their exceptional care of Mom.
