Jean May (Peters) Kraft

COLUMBUS -  Jean M. Kraft, 88, of Columbus WI. passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13th 2018 at Randolph Health Services in Randolph WI with her son by her side.

Jean May was born the daughter of George & Savilla (Singer) Peters on May 19, 1929 in Fall River, WI.  She attended Fall River Public Schools.  Jean was married to Frederick J. Kraft on June 6, 1957 in Dubuque, IA.  Jean was an avid homemaker, gardener, devoted mother & wife.  She worked with Fred & her son in the family implement business in many capacities until 2007. She spent many years active as a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts which she thoroughly enjoyed and encouraged her husband to become involved with the Boy Scouts which he did and enjoyed. She and her husband Fred traveled to numerous countries and across the United States. Jean was always there to help others in a time of need.

Jean is survived by her son, Alphons “Al” (Karin) Kraft of Columbus; Her grandson, Chester (Stacy) Garrett; great grandson Nicholas Garrett, and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred; her sisters, Inez, Verna, Myrtle, Melba, Lucille, Viola (Bootsie), Eileen (Pete);brother Arnie; and one son Chester L Garrett in 1987.

It was Jean’s wish that no formal funeral services be held and cremation is to take place.

A celebration of Jean’s life will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at CLUB 60 SUPPER CLUB W2164 State Road 60. Columbus.

Jean’s family extends special thanks to the staff of the Columbus Community Hospital, Randolph Health Services & Dr. Sam Poser for all their wonderful care and support.

Memorials may be made in Jean’s name to Randolph Health Services.
