Jean M. (Gilbertson) Deich-Paul

Jean M. Deich-Paul, age 61 of Fox Lake/Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison with her family by her side.  She was born on October 22, 1956 in Columbus, the daughter of William and Marion (Schultz) Gilbertson.  Jean married Paul Deich on June 22, 1974, he preceded her in death in 2011.  She later married Michael Paul on December 9, 2017.  Jean farmed in Fall River for many years.  She also worked at Ray-O-Vac in Portage and most recently she worked at the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun for 15 years.  Jean enjoyed traveling especially trips to Mexico. She also enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. 

Jean is survived by her husband, Mike Paul; her children, Michael (Danielle) Deich and Michelle (Anthony) Prado; step-son, Cody Paul; granddaughter, Addison Deich; siblings, Judy (Raymond) Schallert, Richard (Sue) Gilbertson, Donald Gilbertson, David (Laurie Schroeder) Gilbertson, Darvin Gilbertson, Ole Gilbertson and Brenda (Michael) Cullinan.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul and her sister, Bonnie Gilbertson.  

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at SPRING PRAIRIE LUTHERAN CHURCH N509 County Road C, Deforest with Reverend Loren Schumacher presiding with burial following in the Spring Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the GRASSE FUNERAL HOME, 401 Angel Way, Rio and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Wednesday at the church. 

Memorials may be made to Spring Prairie Lutheran Church.
