Janice M. Lang

Dalton – Janice M. Lang age 76, passed peacefully Tuesday, March 27, 2018 with her family by her side.

Janice was born on April 21, 1941 in Portage, WI to William and Evelyn Payne of Dalton, WI. She graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1959. Janice married Richard H. Lang on October 20, 1962 and enjoyed 53 years together.

She worked for the USDA Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service in Portage, WI and then the USDA FSA office in Green Lake, WI. Janice also worked on her parent’s family farm and fertilizer, feed and seed business and eventually took over the business. In addition, she started her own dairy production and raised beef cattle. She also catered numerous weddings and small events. She enjoyed baking, gardening, spending time with her family, and hosting Packer parties.

Through the years, she was blessed with the arrival of 15 grandchildren: Anna Mae (Zane) Rosencranz, Chance, Levi, and Jade Lang; Ashley and Ryan Lang; Mitchell Lang, Dyllan, Morgan and Dakota Jerome; Emmanuel, Maggie, Grace, Sarah, and Mara Krejchik; and three great-grandchildren Korbin Sugden, Greyson and Kenadi Jerome.

Janice is survived by her five children: Jeffrey (Barbara) Lang, Pardeeville, WI; Rick (Dianna) Lang, Dalton, WI; Julie (Warren) Wruck, Pardeeville, WI; Cheryl (Patrick) Jerome, Pardeeville, WI; Karen (Joe) Krejchik, Portage, WI; Sisters: Barb Dalton, Kay (Alfred) Haberkorn; Lee (Charles) McLaughlin; Brother: William (Laura) Payne II: Sister-in-Law Sharon Hildebrandt; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by Richard H. Lang (husband); William and Evelyn Payne (parents); Joe Dalton (brother-in-law); Dennis Hildebrandt (brother-in-law); Dakota Jerome (grandson).

Visitation and funeral will be held at Grasse Funeral Service in Pardeeville, WI on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 am with a short service to follow. Interment will be held at Marcellon Cemetery followed by a luncheon provided by the family at the Dalton Senior Center, W6368 Pine Street, Dalton, WI 53926.
