Janice L. Burns

Janice Lou Burns, age 79, formerly of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2018 with her family by her side.  She was born on December 3, 1939, the eldest of 3 daughters to Ada Pauline (Briggs) Kalish and Floyd Kalish.  Janice was a hard worker, working many years at Kmart and also the LeVee Restaurant in Portage.  She retired after 20 years of service from Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.  Janice was a loving, caring soul who will most be remembered for her big heart and undying love for her family. 

She was a caring dedicated mother to her 3 children; Tami (Russell) Nelson of Montello, Cheryl Arnold of Pardeeville and Rick Burns of Portage; 7 grandchildren, Matthew (Mary), Shane, Brian (Kirsten), and Jason (David) Nelson, Zachary (Kara) and Kaylee (Bradley) Arnold and Amber Burns; 1 great grandchild, Wyatt Alexander Burns; her sister Connie (Kenneth) Maier of Portage.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews and many dear relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sharon Fedele; step-father, LaVerne Kreger; son-in-law, Eddy Arnold; and 1 nephew, Scott Pivett

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the GRASSE FUNERAL HOME, 119 Industrial Drive. Pardeeville. with a private funeral and burial to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. 

He who blessed us with you, we now give back to thee! Rest in Peace, we love you Mom.
