Harry W. Maier, age 86 of Saddle Ridge, Portage, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 after a long illness.
Harry was born to Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Ripp) Maier May 16, 1931. Harry was united in marriage to Shirley A. Gerber in 1954. They were blessed with four children.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Shirley; three daughters Debbie (Steve) Rohrbeck, Jean (Stuart) Zimmerman, and Kay (Todd) Schleef and one son Mark (Amy) Maier; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marion Ziegler and Hermina Ziegler; one brother Alfred Maier; sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and an infant brother: Adam, George, Nick, Werner, Urban, Art, and Herman.
A private funeral service was held at Grasse Funeral Home in Pardeeville and interment took place at Pardeeville Cemetery.
