Gloria D. (Radtke) Heublein

Gloria D. Heublein, age 85, died on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Remington House in Pardeeville.  She was born on April 11, 1932, the daughter of Myron and Ruth (Ashley) Radtke in Kingston, Township, Green Lake County, Wisconsin.

Gloria married Walter E. Ehlert II in June of 1954 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Pardeeville.  They had two children, Walter III and Julie.  Walter preceded her in death in June 1971 at the age of 39.

On November 9, 1973, she married Loyal Heublein at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Pardeeville.  They were married for 39 years until his death on November 20, 2012.

Gloria worked at the Portage Hosiery in her younger years.  She was a stay at home mom for 12 years, she then went to work for the Mid County Times and Danco Prairie F.S. Coop in Pardeeville.

Gloria liked to for rides on the back roads, traveling and hiking to many State Parks in the area. She also like to read, loved music, flowers, antiques, playing card games and watching the Packers.

She is survived by her son Walter “Bill” (Linda) Ehlert; daughter, Julie Swan; granddaughter Michelle (Travis) Wickus; grandson, Walter “Ben” Ehlert and two great granddaughters, Erika and Allison Wickus all of Pardeeville.  She is also survived by one brother, Ed Radtke of Portage and Leesburg, FL; Sister, Sharon Morgan of Portage; Sister-in-law Dee Radtke of Geneva, IL; she is further survived by several nieces, cousins and special friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, her brother Don Radtke and a sister-in-law Clairene Radtke. 

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 505 E. Lafollette St. Pardeeville. With Pastor William Runke presiding.  Burial will be in Marcellon Cemetery, Pardeeville.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at church. Memorials may be made to the church.

The family would like to thank all the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care and visits, especially Renee, Nikki and Allison and to all the wonderful staff at Remington House in Pardeeville.
