George R. Freeman

George R. Freeman, age 44, passed away at his home in Rio, WI, after a long battle with cancer on December 31, 2017. George was born in Marriam, Kansas on October 15, 1973 to Lloyd R. and T.Irene Freeman. George grew up and graduated from High School in Lawrence, KS. He worked as a drywall hanger for most of his life. He tried the Alaskan fishing boat for a short period in the early 1990's and last year worked at O'Reilly's in Columbus, WI. 

George married Melanie "Hunny Bee" Hartley on April 29, 2006. They have two boys Dominick J. and Quentin R.
Survivors include His wife, Melanie; sons, Dominick and Quentin; mother, Irene; sister, Dorothy (Jay) Heller; nephews, Timothy (Chrissy) and George "Trey"; four great-nieces, Rylie, Jayda, Tessa, and Macie; his father and mother-in-law, Joe and Dolly Hartley; brother-in-law, Tim (Meg); nephew and niece, Sam and Alli, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd; grandparents, Ebb and Elizabeth Freeman, and Raymond and Dorothy Templin and a nephew Anthony "AJ" Heller.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the GRASSE FUNERAL HOME, 401 Angel Way, Rio with Reverend Mark Brandel presiding.  Inurnment will be held at Bonnet Praire Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Hillside Hospice of Beaver Dam for all the care they gave George.
