Elizabeth LaVerne “Liz” John, age 86, of Pardeeville, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home at King. She was born on September 1, 1932, in North Leeds, the daughter of Frank and Maude (Fuller) Tomlinson. Elizabeth married George John on October 8, 1960.
She enjoyed dancing, polkas, especially Don Peachey, NASCAR, horseshoes, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Danielle.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George; children, Neal (Bobbie) John, Carey (Tammy) John; grandchildren, Danielle (Orlando Cazarez) Huertha, Toni (Alex) Nordbeck and Ashley (Nick) Yonkie; great grandchildren, Carlos and Ariannas Huertha and Samantha and Grace Hinickle; brother, Harold "Pat" Tomlinson; and a sister-in-law, Leora Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and by 11 brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the GRASSE FUNERAL HOME, 119 Industrial Drive. Pardeeville, visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Pacific Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home at King for all the care they gave Liz. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
