Charles J. Mislivecek, age 86, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Columbia Health Care Center. He was born on March 18, 1932 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Mary and Charles Mislivecek Sr. At the age of 19 he entered the National Guards and then 2 ½ years later he Served his country in the United States Army from 1953-1955, he served 1 year in Japan and 1 year in the States.
On June 8, 1968 he married Betty Ann Scott. Together they owned and operated the Wyocena bar for 24 years. In 2010 Chuck finally retired after 20 years of service at the Petro Truck Stop. He enjoyed deer hunting with his step-son Ed, trips to Ho-Chunk. He also enjoyed taking his dog Sugar to the Wyocena Park and cracking hickory nuts. Chuck was a member of the DAV, American Legion and the VFW.
Chuck is survived by his four children; his son Charles Mislivecek Jr of Poynette; his three step-children, Edward (Laurie) Borde, Jean (Arlie) Klipstein both of Pardeeville and Joanne Borde (Tim Udell) of Portage; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Pliner of Waunakee and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty; sister, Marveline Todd and a brother-in-law Tom Pliner.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the GRASSE FUNERAL HOME 119 Industrial Drive Pardeeville. Burial at Pardeeville Cemetery to follow with Military Honors conducted. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Columbia County Heath Care Center and Agrace HospiceCare for all the care they gave Chuck.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
