Anne Dykstra, a devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother was called to her Heavenly Home on Monday, July 30, 2018.
Anne was born on February 24, 1930 to Charlie and Susie (Kramer) Vander Galien of Randolph. On September 2, 1949 she married the love of her life George Dykstra. Together they worked hard on their dairy farm and raised their five children.
She enjoyed family, cooking, baking, gardening and canning, bowling, and crocheting. She also enjoyed driving bus for students with special needs. She was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church in Randolph and active in Lydia Society and bible studies. She and George enjoyed playing Scrabble in their later years, as well as, some trips and long rides.
Anne is survived by her 5 children Lugene (Sharon) Dykstra, Randolph, Susan (Jim) Recker, Randolph, Gloria (Mark) Siciliano, Hampton, IA, Mary (Rick) Donovan, Pardeeville, Duane (Wendi) Dykstra, Randolph; 15 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn (Lawrence) Beekman; brother Stuart (Charlene) Vander Galien.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, George Dykstra, parents, brother Mike (Evelyn) Vander Galien, sisters Jeanette (Gary) DeBoer, Flora (Ed) Homan.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 3 at 11 AM at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Randolph with Rev. Keith Buist officiating. Interment will follow at Randolph Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 2 from 4 to 8 PM at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Randolph. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of services at the church Friday.
