Alice E. Watson, age 83 of Portage, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Remington House in Pardeeville.
She was born August 2, 1935 to Jack and Alice (Barden) Hibner. She was united in marriage to James Watson, Sr. June 13, 1953. Alice was a skilled seamstress who loved quilting, crocheting, and other projects. Alice also loved bird watching and tending to her gardens. Her children and grandchildren where the light of her life. She enjoyed getting together for coffee with friends.
Survivors include one son, Jim, Jr. (Dorthey) Watson of Swan Lake; two daughters, Jackie (Todd) Thorn of Swan Lake and Debbie (Brian) Girard of Kaukauna/Swan Lake; six grandchildren, Jess Watson, Kasey (Tim) Blau, Rachel (Brett) Johanen, Mike Kayartz, Mitchell Thorn, and Kali Girard; five great grandchildren, Bella Watson, Jade Blau, Liam Blau, Brycen Johanen, and Boden Johanen; one sister, Carol; one sister-in-law Sally (Red) Moeller; other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, and an infant daughter Susan.
Alice’s final coffee klatch will be held Saturday, September 29 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Grasse Funeral Home, 119 Industrial Drive, Pardeeville. Come bring your memories and stories to share. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff of the Remington House and Heartland Hospice for the care they gave mom.
