He was born on September 19, 1953 t the Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois.  As a navy brat, he lived in many different parts of the country, and met Carol A. Tom enjoyed many hobbies, skiing, boating, motorcycle riding, 4-wheeling, hunting, fishing, trap/skeet shooting and spending time with family and friends, He also enjoyed supervising his neighbor, Jeff, whenever he went into the woods to fell trees or cut wood. Tom loved to cook, and whether it was wild game, biscuits and gravy, his mother’s kapusta or his favorite Emeril Lagasse recipe, nobody ever left the table hungry. e was very active in AKC Retriever Hunting Tests, both as a competitor and as a judge.  He was a member of the Madison Retriever Club for many years and joined the Wisconsin Amateur Field Trial Club after moving to Pardeeville.  Tom loved training and competing with his Golden Retriever, “Skoal”, earning Junior Hunter, Senior Hunter and Master Hunter titles.  As a respected Hunting Test judge he was invited to judge events in many states, including being invited to judge for the Fairbanks Retriever Club, in North Pole, Alaska.  After the judging assignment was completed, Tom and Carol spent two weeks sightseeing in Alaska.  It was the trip of a lifetime.  Tom was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all that knew him.
