Suzaunne Hawley Obituary

Suzaunne E. Hawley left this earth at the age of 78, to be with her Lord on February 21, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sue was born on October 13, 1939 in Pardeeville, to Spencer and Margaret Ades (Chapel).  She graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1958.  She was united in marriage to Laverne Hawley on January 23, 1960.  Sue worked for many years at Ray’s Fine Foods in Pardeeville.  Eventually she started working part time as the secretary for First Presbyterian Church in Pardeeville, she retired after 25 years of service.  Sue also cleaned houses part-time for many of those years.

Sue loved being a mom to her two daughters and to the many pets that she had throughout her life.  She had a soft spot for animals and always had a dog and/or cat(s) around.  She was a big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers Basketball.  She was a member of the Badger Antique Auto Club for many years.  She enjoyed showing her 1956 Ford Thunderbird in parades and car shows.  Along with working for First Presbyterian Church for 25 years, she was a life long member.  Sue loved helping others and being among friends.  She will be missed by many.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Joanne Bender; brother Kim (Pam) Ades; son-in-law Matthew (Cathy) Burt; Grandson, Dimitri Burt; sisters-in-law, Glenda (Gordon) Sutfin and Sandy Hawley. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Laverne; her daughter, Cindy Burt; and her bother Kerry Ades.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 105 South Main St. Pardeeville. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at church.
