Ruth, I am saddened by your loss of Ron. He was always such a gentleman. When I think of people I miss not working at the pharmacy, you and Ron were in my thoughts. May God comfort you.

Dear Ruth and Family: Seeing Ron's obituary and photo brought back many good memories of working with Ron at FPL. He had a "collectors item" perfectly round wooden steering wheel hanging in his office at FPL, and when he retired, he gave it to me. I still have that hanging in my home office, and over the years it has served to bring back many great memories of our times together at work. Please accept our sympathy at this difficult time. Sincerely, John and Kitty Youngquist

I am sorry to learn of Ron's passing. I'm even more sorry that I have seen little of him (and Ruth) for forty years. Time and distance, and a certain laziness to pick up the phone or pen, conspire to minimize some of the friendships we once enjoyed. That said, it is guys like Ron who have enriched my life. I'm well-rewarded for having known him.

Ron and Ruth Jokerst were both patients of mine for many years until my retirement in 2011. As their physician, it was a genuine honor to care for such wonderful people, so good and kind in everything they said or did.
Initially, Barb and I came to know them as neighbors when we moved into their Madison neighborhood in 1977. Eventually, as noted, they became patients. But what really stands out for Barb and myself is this: they were always friends. Good people are always difficult to replace. Rest in peace, Ron, and our sympathy to you, Ruth, and all your wonderful family.
