Lillian Kubik Obituary

Lillian M. Kubik entered into God’s loving arms on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 surrounded by family at the young age of 100 years 11 months and 2 days.  She was a life long resident of Wyocena until being lovingly cared for by her daughter and husband, Janice and Jeffery Iverson, for the past ten years at their home in rural Pardeeville.

Lillian was born May 9, 1917 and was the daughter of Earl and Alice (Briffett) Strong.  She attended grade school in Wyocena and graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1935. Lillian married James (Al) Ashley June 29, 1936, together they were blessed with a son, Earl, 2 daughters, Cheryl Lynn and Janice.  Their marriage ended after 16 years.  She married Charles Kubik on November 19, 1954; they enjoyed 51 happy years of marriage before Charlie passed away January 6, 2006.

Lillian worked at Pure Milk Association in Wyocena for 21 years, where she met Charlie.  She provided childcare in her home for ten years, which she loved dearly.

Lillian loved keeping scrapbooks and photo albums all of her life.  Her mind was as sharp as a tack; she loved reading books, the newspaper, keeping up with local and world news.  Bird watching, cooking, baking and traveling were activities she enjoyed.  Most important to Lillian were her family and watching them grow in their happiness.  She never missed sending a card or a letter on a special occasion, including her great grandson’s 4-11-18 wedding anniversary card.  Lillian took great joy in sharing her grandchildren’s adventures; it made her life worth living.

Remembering her in loving memory, daughter Janice Iverson (Jeffery).  Five grandchildren, Cheryl Jarvis (Kenny), Waukesha, Tim Ashley (Denise), Cambria, Jeff Ashley (Tracie), DePoe Bay, OR, Lois Frank (Dave), Cambria, Angie Christopherson (Travis Teubert,), Portage.  Great grandchildren Christopher Jarvis (Denise), Elizabeth and Giulianna Jarvis, Dylan Ashley, Colt Ashley (Coral Mirr), Tricia Ashley (Dale Murawsky), Charlie Ashley (Mariah), Justin Frank, Melissa Blease (Jeremey), Sky, Cyan and Kyra Christopherson-Teubert.  Great-great grandchildren Lilyana Blease, Jayden and Jaxson Gonzalez, Lacilea Christopherson and one on the way Baby Ashley.
