Jill M. Watters, age 69 of Randolph, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday January 15, 2018 at the Randolph Health Services, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Our mom was born September 10, 1948 to Harold and Joan Stancer at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She grew up in Pardeeville and attended School in Portage. She was the oldest of four children and was like a second mom to her younger brother and sister. When Jill was younger she loved staying with her grandmother, Jessie Babcock Neesam. She loved her tremendously and missed her dearly after she passed.
On January 30, 1971, Jill married Harry “Mike” Watters at St. Mary’s Church in Lost Lake, Wisconsin. They later divorced. She was a member of the Homemaker’s Women’s group and enjoyed making clothes for her young daughters. Mom had various jobs over the years including Central Colony in Sun Prairie.
Jill was artistic, she enjoyed doing ceramics, drawing, writing and reading stories with her children, Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie were some of her favorites.
She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Cambria.
Survivors include her daughters, Jessica (Kevin) Lange and Sarah and Emily Watters all of Fox Lake; Siblings, Brian (Mary) Stancer of Park Falls, Todd Stancer of Amana Colonies, Iowa and Melissa Kemp of Madison. Our father Harry “Mike” Watters. She is further survived by nieces and a nephew, aunts and uncles. Although she didn’t have any grandchildren, she loved her fur grand babies. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank, Randolph Health Services for their ongoing care with our mom also to Agrace HospiceCare of Fitchburg for all the help they have given Mom and us in the last year. We would also like to thank Pastor Kristin.
Mom’s wishes were to keep things simple. A gathering with light lunch will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon with visitation from 11:30 until noon at the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 121 West Florence St. Cambria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
