Genevieve M. Moll

Genevieve “Gen” Moll, age 95 of Poynette, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Columbia Heath Care Center. 

She was the second daughter of Margaret and Henry Smith, born on August 17, 1922 at Scott Township in Columbia County. Genevieve went to Slab School for 8 years and graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1939. She did house work, child care and worked at the shoe factory in Portage until her marriage to J Donald Moll on January 29, 1943. Together they lived with his parents on the family farm in Poynette.    She helped with the farm work while also working at the canning factory, Owls Nest, WIBU Radio and Research Products. Genevieve and her husband spent many days up north at the trailer, relaxing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Genevieve and Donald had 6 children, she is survived by her children; Linda (Steve) Pulver, Mary (Stanley) Salverson, Bruce (Pi Vesper) Moll, Wayne (Marilyn) Moll and Calvin (Sue) Moll, and a daughter-in-law Ginny Moll; sister, Marge Krueger and sister-in-law Marilyn Smith; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald; her son John Moll; grandchildren; Kurt Pulver and Erin Moll Lerch; Brother, Russell Smith; Sister, Louise Moll and brothers-in-law Hermie Moll and Mike Krueger.  

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at the GRASSE FUNERAL HOME 119 Industrial Drive, Pardeeville with Reverend Christopher Amen presiding. Burial will follow in Pardeeville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family would like to share a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at the Columbia Heath Care Center for the exceptional care they gave Gen.
